A New Era of Condition Monitoring for Mechanical Systems?

Screenshot SlideCondition monitoring for machine systems is vital to the predictive maintenance that prevents failures and downtime. We hear a lot from our customers that this process, when completely manually, can be cumbersome, labor-intensive, and often too late to act on. But with the rising availability and dropping costs for mobile technology and Big Data processing, new technologies are quickly becoming more accessible for everyone. It’s now easier than ever to more accurately monitor, optimize and mange equipment remotely.

Although tools that monitor conditions such as, vibration, lubrication, audio emissions, temperature and other data are installed on the diesel engines and equipment we sell at Depco, we haven’t had much opportunity to get hands on with condition monitoring for mechanical systems in a live environment.

CBM Enterprise Solutions is a local company here in Houston that created software specifically for condition monitoring for mechanical systems. We were curious, so CBM offered to set up a demonstration right here in our yard, and we can’t wait to roll up our sleeves and get a hands-on feel for how these systems function, the kind of data that can be collected, and how fast that data can be processed and put into action.

The demo takes place tomorrow, Aug. 12, 2014 at our HQ in Houston, TX.

If you are in the area, we welcome you to come on down and kick the tires with us.

CBM promises to show us:

  • What gets installed on an actual engine
  • How the system monitors mechanical failures and engine reliability
  • A live demo of the condition monitoring for mechanical systems software

See the full agenda and RSVP here.

If you’re curious about condition monitoring for mechanical systems, how they work, and whether it might be a good solution for your operation, don’t miss this opportunity to test drive the automated failure detection and prevention solution from CBM.
