Do Marine Generators Spook Fish?

Jim Hendricks of Sportfishing Magazine wrote an interesting column on the question. He asked charter captains for their opinions and got feedback that open water fish don't seem to be bothered by the generator noise. The shallow water fish, like bonefish, tarpon and seatrout were belived to be more prone to be spooked. One of the captains thought stealth is important, especially for seabass fishing. A Bermuda captain told Hendricks that they leave the generators running when the are trying to catch bait fish, seems to help them lure them.
